Effective Date: January 1, 2026 · Version 1.2
STUDENTSLABREPORTS is committed to upholding rigorous standards of privacy regarding data documentation, readership tracking, and scientific communications. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what happens when you visit our editorial platform, subscribe to our journal, or submit a publication inquiry.
Our approach is deliberately restrained. We collect only what is genuinely necessary to deliver editorial content, and we store as much as possible on your own device rather than on our servers. What few records we hold are kept strictly for scientific communications purposes.
1. Information Collection
We collect email contact info exclusively provided through our publication journal subscription form. Analytical data regarding website usage is processed strictly in aggregate format.
If you submit a contact form or publication inquiry, we retain the content of that correspondence to help respond to your message and to maintain an editorial record of any scientific inquiry received.
2. Use of Information
Your subscription email is strictly utilized to dispatch laboratory updates, technical notes, and research publication notices. We do not rent, sell, or disclose email directories to third parties.
Newsletter communications are dispatched only to readers who have explicitly opted in. Every dispatch we send contains a working unsubscribe link, and every request to be removed from our list is processed within one business day.
3. Local Storage
Our subscription mechanism uses standard browser localStorage to retain client subscription preferences offline. You retain full right to clear or unsubscribe at any time.
Because this data lives on your own device, you remain in complete control of it at all times. Clearing your browser's site data removes every trace of your subscription instantly — there is no server-side record to delete, and no waiting period.
4. What We Do Not Collect
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party behavioural tracking scripts. We do not collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, geolocation data, or browsing history. We do not use session recording tools, heatmaps, or A/B testing platforms that observe individual visitors.
5. Third-Party Services
Photography and typography are loaded from external content delivery networks (Unsplash, Google Fonts). Loading these resources may expose your IP address to those services, but they do not set cookies on your device and are not used by us for any tracking purpose. We do not receive any of that data ourselves.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to request a summary of any personal information we hold about you, to correct factual errors, and to request deletion of your data where it is no longer required for editorial or regulatory reasons. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at privacy@studentslabreports.com.
7. Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will remove it.
8. Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, the "Effective Date" at the top of this page will be revised. We will never introduce third-party tracking retroactively. Continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Contact
For any privacy-related question, write to: privacy@studentslabreports.com. All inquiries are answered personally, usually within one week.
